General list and concepts

I have been throwing some ideas and list around for Dark Eldar and Blood Angels and just wanted to throw it out there to see what others think. These list are all around 1850.

1850
Its Raining....

Idea is to hold in reserve every time unless your playing Horde list. You drop on a right flank and you hit hard and keep on going. You should get a majority of your guys in with descent of angels and they should be able to drop super close together.

  1. In the Hellion list, you'll need something that'll get those webway portals further up than 6"... Maybe split the warrior squads, sneak in some other points, and get 2 raiders? Turn one you shoot up 12", the Haemonculi jump out of their respective transports, and drop the portals. Turn 2, your reserves start showing up halfway across the board already.

  2. I don't know for sure if I would want to. Shadowseer with two Haemoncului drop the webway portals on the on the 18inch line which brings me to the 21 inches in the table. With the models coming out from the table I should have a good reach to hit units still unless they are on teh back edge of the table or in a corner and even still they can do the same. The Idea behind that list is always to go second and just deploy the Harlequinns sos you can't shoot me while I move up.

  3. Spam might work with marines but what a boring army. You will need to think in more than one dimension with your dark eldar. You can't spam since every unit excels in a specific area.

  4. I like the Raven Rush and am hoping you will refine it. Personally I'm not sold on DC, but the DC dread is pretty awesome. I'd cut the squad back to just five DC Marines (2x power sword, power fist, infernus pistol) lead by a Chaplain. The scouts look like a possible liability to me. I think it's best to reserve them and walk them on the table so they dont get shot up the 1st turn. I sure wish BA could take Landspeeder Storms ! Oh well, wadda ya gonna do?

Here is a pretty cool assault unit you can run in a Stormraven:

    10x Scouts w. bolt pistol & combat blade, sergeant w. power fist & combi-melta

Run them with a Priest (power sword). Its pretty cheap for what it can do. It's not my idea though - saw it somewhere else on the interwebs.

  5. Question, i thought that fleet on most units in this army with a haemonculus attached takes that ability away because the IC doesn't have it. Unless you try to "share the pain" and he just leaves after sharing. Which i've went over a million times in my head and as good as it looks i'm not that type of gamer and i believe it doesn't work like that. Don't get me wrong, i'm not knocking your list it's just uncommon for my fluff build brain that restrains me from having a panzer tank in my US army, just my philosophy.

  6. I might throw a librarian in there for the Shield power on the squads as well. A 5+ against a BC shot would alleviate some casualties and it would reduce some of your plasma/melta related deaths.

  7. Why Chaplains instead of Librarians? Bang for buck they're better at enhancing a units close combat punch with Unleashed Rage, as opposed to simply rerolling on the charge.

They also have potential strength 10 when hitting MC or armor. Replace the Chaplains with Librarians and Astorath with the Sanguinor (I'm assuming you want all jumpers).

  8. Out of all of the lists I like the footdar the best.
